Clinical Faculty Advisory Council (CFAC)

Join the CFAC for an opportunity to advise the Dean on matters related to clinical faculty! Clinical faculty members will be compensated for the time spent attending the CFAC meetings. More details on compensation and the position.

UBC D’HoPE Program

Join the UBC MD Admissions Office on the UBC Campus for an interactive summer program with Diversifying Health and Human Service Professions Education – D’HoPE. This program aims to support equity-deserving high school and undergraduate students in developing a sustained interest in health profession education programs of their choice.

  • Session: This is subject to what the clinical staff will like to come up with (e.g. suturing, intubation station and a neo-natal CPR station).
  • Location: Life Sciences Centre – UBC Point Grey Campus
  • Date: 16th August 2024 (9am to 12 pm).
  • Compensation: Budget for this program is $300. This can be allocated to the staff/tutor who decides to join us. Lunch will be available.

Career Exploration & Mentorship with Student Affairs UBC MDUP FoM

We rely on the support of volunteers from various disciplines and lived experiences. Mentorship can be a transformational part of the medical student education journey and a rewarding experience for mentors. There are several ways to get involved via Shadowing, Career Planning Cafe, Group Mentorship, 1-on-1 Mentorship and other opportunities.

UBC Medical Alumni Advisory Council Regional Representative

The Advisory Council has five Regional Representative roles to help ensure that the interests and ideas of alumni in these geographic regions are represented.

The Regional Representatives would attend and deliver a regional update at two online meetings a year (October and February) and a year-end awards event in the spring.

You are invited to join this half-day, catered event featuring the Webber Lecture on Intergenerational Teaching, local discussions, and opportunities for networking.

  • Time: 8:30AM – 1:00PM (PST) (Hybrid)
  • Location: This event will be held in person at sites across the province. Those who cannot attend in person can join remotely for the Webber Lecture from 9:00 – 10:00AM.
